Overview

I am a first-year master’s student in the Theoretical and Applied Mechanics program at Northwestern. I received a BS and ME degrees in civil and structural engineering respectively from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Prior to Northwestern, I worked as an associate engineer in the civil engineering group at Ameren Services in Saint Louis, MO. I am currently working on delamination phenomena using the double cantilever beam (DCB) specimen under a mode I crack. I am particularly interested in how the strength of the mode I crack is effected by the size of the specimen (its depth) and geometry of crack (elliptical crack with different aspect ratios), using the cohesive crack model. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family.
