Current Research
Modeling the effect of ASR in hydraulic concrete
This study focuses on modeling the mechanical damage due to ASR in hydraulic concrete. The modeling is based on the Alkali-Silica Reaction- Lattice Discrete Particle Model (ASR-LDPM). The work aims to understand the coupled effect of water transport, external and internal pressures and ASR on the mechanical behavior of dams.
Multiscale research on ASR-affected dam
This work aims to apply homogenization techniques to upscale the results of lab-sized ASR affected concrete and real size dams.
